Incoming Vanderbilt women's basketball player Marqu'es Webb has been named Alabama's Miss Basketball for 2013. Webb averaged 15.1 points and 11.0 rebounds as senior, leading Hoover High School to the 6-A Alabama State Championship and a 28-4 record.

Webb was also named the Class 6-A Player of the Year, which adds to earlier being named the Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year.

She posted 29 points and 22 rebounds in the state championship game, giving Hoover a 66-55 win over Blount. It marked the third Alabama title for Webb, after helping Hoover to the 2012 title and leading Brewbaker Tech to the Class 4A championship in 2011.

For her career, Webb scored 1,716 points and pulled down 1,591 rebounds, good for averages of 13.1 and 12.1 per game, respectively.

She will be joined this fall by Gatorade Minnesota Player of the Year Rebekah Dahlman (Braham, Minn.) and 2013 Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Kylee Smith (Alpharetta, Ga.) as freshmen at Vanderbilt. The class is ranked eighth in the nation by espnW's HoopGurlz.
