Pregame Notes
• Vanderbilt is in its 123rd year of organized football. 

• The Commodores wore gold jerseys with black helmets and pants; marking the second time this season the team wore the combination (Florida).
• Vanderbilt won the toss and elected to receive the football with Tennessee receiving the ball in the second half.
• Attendance was 40,350 - the third sellout at Vanderbilt Stadium this season.

Team Notes
Zac Stacy's 72-yard reception on the first play of the game was the longest reception of his career.
• Vanderbilt led 13-10, the sixth time this season the Dores have led at the break (Northwestern, Presbyterian, Missouri, UMass, Kentucky).
Zac Stacy's 10-yard rushing TD was his 27th of his career, the most ever by a Vanderbilt player.
• The win tied the school record for most SEC wins with five, tying the 1935 team.
• The win marked the Commodores' first seven-win regular season since 1982.
• Vanderbilt's five-game winning streak is the first late-season five-game win streak since 1982.
• The victory over the Volunteers is the first home win over UT since 1982.
• Vanderbilt's 23-point win is the largest margin of victory over Tennessee since 1954 when VU won 26-0.

Individual Notes
Carey Spear's field goal in the first quarter was his 16th of the season, tying the school record held by teammate Ryan Fowler (2009) and Ricky Anderson (1984).
• Freshman Caleb Azubike recorded his fourth sack of the season with a tackle in the first quarter, marking the sixth sack Tennessee has allowed this season.
• With his catch in the first quarter Jordan Matthews now has at least one catch in 19 straight games.
Richard Kent's 64-yard boot in the second quarter gave him four punts this season of 60-plus yards.
Johnell Thomas recorded his first career interception with a pick in the second quarter.
Carey Spear's field goal in the second quarter set a new school record for field goals in a single season with 17 made field goals.
Jared Morse notched his 12th tackle for loss of the season with a five-yard stop in the backfield in the second quarter.
• Andrew Hal picked off his second career pass, intercepting a Justin Worley pass in the second quarter returning it 36 yards.
Chris Boyd now has at least one catch in 19 straight games with a grab in the second quarter.
Chris Boyd's TD reception from Jordan Rodgers was his Boyd's fourth of the season and 10th of the year for Rodgers. Ten TD passes this season set a new career-best for Rodgers.
Jordan Matthews recorded his first rushing TD with a 47-yard run in the third quarter.
Andre Hal became the first Commodore this season to intercept two passes in a game and the first Dore since Casey Heyward last season against Cincinnati.
Wesley Tate threw his first career TD pass in the third quarter, connecting with Kris Kentera for a three-yard score. The TD catch was Kentera's second of his career.
• Jordan Matthews' seven-yard grab in the third quarter gave him 76 catches for the season, the sixth-most in Vanderbilt history.
Zac Stacy's 10-yard rushing TD was his 27th of his career, the most ever by a Vanderbilt player.
• Stacy moved into the single-season top 10 with 85 yards rushing putting him in seventh place. Stacy now has 854 yards on the year. Stacy now has two of the top 10 single season rushing totals in school history, including the school record of 1,193 yards set last season.
Jordan Matthews moved into third place on Vanderbilt's single-season receiving yards list with a 71-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter. Matthews finished the night 115 yards for his ninth career 100-yard game and sixth of the season. Matthews now has 1,118 yards on the year, third-most in school history.
Chase Garnham matched a career-high with 10 tackles on the night, including one for loss.
Trey Wilson recorded a season-best three pass breakups.

Offensive Notes
• For the fifth time this season the Commodores took their opening drive of the game for a score (Northwestern, Presbyterian, Auburn, Kentucky).
• Vanderbilt has outscored its opponents 53-36 in the first quarter this season.
Zac Stacy's 10-yard rushing TD was his 27th of his career, the most ever by a Vanderbilt player.
• The Commodores' 21 points in the third quarter are the most scored in a SEC game this season.

Defensive Notes
• Freshman Caleb Azubike recorded his fourth sack of the season with a tackle in the first quarter, marking the sixth sack Tennessee has allowed this season.
• Vanderbilt has allowed no points in the first quarter in six games this season (Presbyterian, Florida, Auburn, UMass, Kentucky).
• Johnell Thomas' second quarter interception was the Commodores' first pick since Trey Wilson and Darreon Herring each had interceptions against UMass.
Andre Hal became the first Commodore this season to intercept two passes in a game and the first Dore since Casey Heyward last season against Cincinnati.
• Vanderbilt sacked Tennessee twice on the night; UT had allowed only five sacks in the team's first 10 games.
• Vanderbilt held Tennessee's offense to 154 yards passing. The Vols entered the game averaging over 330 yards per game. Tennessee's 154 passing yards are the fewest since the Mississippi State game (148) and the Vols' 303 total yards are the fewest since the Alabama game (282).
• The Commodores held Tennessee to 2-for-15 on third down and 0-for-3 on fourth down.
