2010 A former safety and linebacker, Powell moved to running back during the preseason after injuries depleted the Commodores' rushing corps... Did not have a rushing attempt during the season, but did play in six games on kickoff coverage units... Credited with a pair of special teams tackles.
2009 Played in 11 games as redshirt freshman, contributing on coverage units and as reserve safety... Finished the season with 12 total tackles, including eight unassisted stops... Posted career high of three tackles against both Georgia Tech and Florida... Also credited with a pair of solo tackles in victory over Rice.
2008 Powell did not see game action, using his first year on campus to redshirt. He served as a safety on defensive practice.
