2006 Kirchoffer had a roller coaster campaign as a redshirt junior, starting strongly at right guard and closing as a starting tackle after struggling with midseason injuries... One of the Commodores' strongest players, Kirchoffer started in nine games, and played in all 12 games... Kirchoffer started first eight games at right guard, giving way to a healthy Mac Pyle.. In last weeks of season, Kirchoffer moved to right tackle when depth became an issue... After two weeks spelling Elliot Hood at tackle, Kirchoffer worked his way into the starting lineup at tackle for the finale against Tennessee.
