COACH CORBIN QUOTE: Vergie was a nice surprise for us at the end of the fall after resting his arm for early portion of it. He comes to us from a very successful junior college program in Texas. He made very nice strength gains during the fall and was the Omaha Challenge winner for the pitchers. He throws a very heavy ball with a quality breaking pitch. If he gets back to full strength, Drew has a chance to be very good.
