Coach Corbin Quote: Having Drew come back for a fifth year is a great thing for our program in many ways. He stabilizes our catching situation and also gives us tremendous experience with a young pitching staff. He has caught some very important games for us over the last four years. He handles the bat very well and is skilled at getting on base. Most importantly, he has always been a team-first guy, who sets a great example for young players with his attitude and routine.

Went 1-for-2 in two pinch-hit at-bats in series against Florida 4/2-4... Collected a career-high three hits while reaching base all five times in 3-for-3 effort against Wright State 3/24... Notched two doubles, two walks and a run scored against Wright State... Drove in a run in lone at-bat against Western Kentucky 3/12... 2009 - Hit .306 with 10 RBI and five runs scored in first collegiate season... Played in 18 games, including 11 starts at catcher... Given the start at catcher, contributed a crucial hit in the win against Louisville 4/22... Led team with two RBI against Morehead State 4/15... Led team with two hits in return to hometown against Middle Tennessee 4/8 in Murfreesboro... Had a 2-for-4 day with RBI against Auburn 3/27... Drove in two runs with a pair of walks against Belmont 3/18... Belted a pinch-hit grand slam home run in his first collegiate at-bat in top of the eighth inning against Lipscomb 3/10... The grand slam came on the first collegiate pitch he saw... SUMMER BALL - Hit .225 with 16 RBI in 34 games for Saratoga in the New York Collegiate League.

2008 - Redshirted in his first year in the program.

High School - Helped lead Oakland High to District and Regional championships in 2007 en route to a 42-2 record... Was named All-District from 2005-07 and All-Area by the Daily News Journal in 2006-07... Four-year letterwinner in baseball and three-year letterer in basketball... Won the basketball Sportsmanship Award in 2004 and was the team captain in 2007... Also played on 2004 district champion baseball team... Was the Valedictorian of his class... Also FCA and National Honor Society presidents... Member of the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, DECA, Young Democrats and Beta Epsilon.

ACADEMICS - Fann is working towards a graduate degree in Leadership & Organizational Performance. He was tabbed as an Academic All-SEC selection in 2010 and 2011. Earned a SEC Brad Davis post-graduate scholarship as the Vanderbilt male representative.
