Women’s Golf Adds Jevnick, Tolentino

Dores welcome two standouts for 2024-25 season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s golf head coach Greg Allen announced the addition of Jayden Jevnick and Angelina Tolentino to the Commodores roster for the 2024-25 season.

Jevnick and Tolentino join Claire Henson, who signed in November, to give the Dores a three-player freshman class in the upcoming season.

Jayden Jevnick

Jevnick is the No. 6-ranked player in her home state of Arizona. The Cave Creek, Ariz., native is a Junior Golf Association of Arizona champion, capturing the Tucson City Junior Championship in 2022.

Jevnick also took medalist honors at the Phoenix Junior Open in October, posting a pair of 2-under rounds to earn the crown. She is also a two-time participant in the USGA Four-Ball Championship, playing in both 2022 and 2023.

Allen on Jevnick: “Jayden will be coming to Vanderbilt with a very impressive academic resume that includes being a member of the National Honors Society and National English Honor Society while attending Xavier Prep in Phoenix. As for golf, Jayden is a diamond-in-the-rough and in our culture, we believe she will thrive. She’s not afraid to put in the time and effort it takes to improve. She will be a good fit for our program and will do everything in her power to excel in the classroom and on the golf course.”

Angelina Tolentino

A native of Mount Laurel, N.J., Tolentino is the No. 4-ranked player in the state. The future Commodore finished second in the 2022 New Jersey Girls’ Junior Championship.

She is a two-time winner on the AJGA circuit and played in the 2022 US Girls’ Junior Championship. Tolentino rose through the junior ranks as one of the top-ranked players in the world and captured five top-10 finishes in 2023 amateur events.

Allen on Tolentino: “Angelina is a young lady that we feel like has a very high ceiling in terms of her golf game. She’s a bright young lady that has a very engaging personality. She fits in well with our culture and has good relationships with our current freshmen. We feel fortunate to have Angelina joining our program next fall.”
