NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Vanderbilt sophomore Kayla Overbeck didn’t just sit at home this summer. Last month, Overbeck ventured to Italy as a member of the United States’ FIBA U19 World Cup team. She played in seven games and helped the Americans win a silver medal following a tough final-game loss to Russia.
The Commodore Insider Podcast caught up with Overbeck to reflect on her experience abroad and what she learned playing for Team USA. Also, Overbeck looks ahead to the Commodores’ upcoming trip to Costa Rica and Vanderbilt’s team in head coach Stephanie White’s second season at the helm.
