Both the men's and women's Vanderbilt track and cross country teams have been named United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association's All-Academic Teams.
To qualify, programs must post at least a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point average during the fall season and start at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional meet.
The women's program posted a team GPA of 3.412 and ran at the NCAA South Regional, where the Commodores finished second and advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row.
Vanderbilt was one of 10 women's squad from the Southeastern Conference and 200 nation wide to earn the designation. The Commodores were also part of 27 of the 31 teams at the NCAA Championships to also earn All-Academic designation.
On the men's side, the Commodores posted a team GPA of 3.377 during the fall of 2012. Vanderbilt was one of 145 Division I men's teams to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team list and one of seven from the SEC.
The men capped their 2012 campaign with a 22nd place finish at the NCAA South Regional.
