Track visits Clemson's Bob Pollock Invitational

The Vanderbilt track and field team is headed to the Bob Pollock Invitational, hosted by Clemson University, this Friday and Saturday, May 3-4.
Commodores will open Friday action with the 1,500 meters. Four Commodores are scheduled to compete in the invitational field - Kristen Findley, Lily Williams and Hannah Jumper. The race is set for 6:40 p.m. CT. Findley will set the pace for Williams and Jumper as they look to improve their times.
Saturday's action will see several more black and gold runners in the 1,500 meters. Jordan White, Vanessa Valentine, Kristen Smith, Amira Joseph, Allie Scalf, Grace Orders and Claire Benjamin are all scheduled to run in the two heats. The first heat will run at 9:50 a.m. CT.
Faith Washington is schedule to run the 400 meters, set for 1:00 p.m.
Cannon is also scheduled to run in the 200 meter dash (2:30 p.m.) and compete in the high jump (10:00 a.m.) as she prepares for heptathlon action at the SEC Championships.
The meet serves as a final tune-up before the SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, to be held May 9-12 in Columbia, Mo. No distance runners will compete in a race longer than 1,500 meters with the conference championships in mind.
