NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Vanderbilt women's track and field team will be traveling to Fayetteville, Ark. this Friday and Saturday to participate in the Razorback Invitational at the University of Arkansa

This weekend's competition is reserved for the sprinting and field units, as the VU distance unit has the weekend off after a dominant showing in Lexington last weekend.

Vanderbilt is coming off a strong outing last weekend at the Kentucky Invitational, where junior Katherine Hendricks moved to 2nd on VU's indoor pole vault list with a jump of 11'7.75". Freshmen Alyson Hasty and Morgan Toone showed potential at Kentucky, clearing 11'1.75" and 10'8" respectively.

The Commodores are looking to repeat their second-week success of the indoor season from last year when they competed at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. The Commodores ended that weekend with 10 top-five finishes, including impressive 200-meter sprints by Anna Carr and Taylor Jackson.

This is a young Commodore flight heading to Fayetteville this weekend. Making the trip for Vanderbilt are freshmen Elizabeth Smith, Alyson Hasty, and Morgan Toone, and sophomores Anna Carr, Teegan Hill, Josalyn White, and Meagan Martin. The only upperclassmen traveling are junior Taylor Jackson and senior Mallory Hitt.
