    This Year in Cross Country: Promising campaign ended in disappointing fashion due to midseason injury in competition... Opened season with 11th place finishes at Belmont/Vanderbilt Opener (15:00.51 for 4K) and Commodore Classic (18:38.86 for 5K)... Best 6K of the season (23:15.6) at Chile Pepper Festival... Struggled at SEC Championships trying to recover from leg injury suffered weeks earlier at Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge... Did not run at NCAA Regionals due to lingering affects of leg injury.

    2007 Track: Finished two races during outdoor season, running the 5000 in 18:46.39 at the Alabama Relays and the 10K in 38:24.91 at the Sea Ray Relays... In Cross Country: Finished among the top three in four of six meets... After opening with 33rd overall finish at Belmont Invitational (15:13 for 4K), Eckerly ran third overall (18:55 for 5K) at Commodore Classic, finishing behind teammates Erika Schneble and Brittany Sizer... Ran second on team at Louisville Invitational (18:50 for 5K)... Also was runnerup on team at SEC Championships with a 22:11 6K effort, good for 49th overall finish... Ran 59th overall at NCAA Regionals (23:07 for 6K).

    2006 Cross Country: Eckerly was one of team's top competitors, finishing among the top three in four of six meets... After opening with 33rd overall finish at Belmont Invitational (15:13 for 4K), Eckerly ran third overall at Commodore Classic, finishing 5K behind teammates Erika Schneble and Brittany Sizer in 18:55... Finished second on team at Louisville Invitational with 18:50 5K... Also was team's second fastest runner at SEC Championships with a 22:11 6K performance, good for 49th place overall finish... Closed season with 59th overall result at NCAA Regional, running 6K in 23:07, good for third among Commodores.

    2006 Track: Production limited after injuries slowed progress... Competed just twice outdoors after effective cross country campaign... Best outdoor effort came in 5,000 meters (18:38.71) at Raleigh Relays... Ran 18:38.72 indoors at East Tennessee State Invitational... Also recorded 10:26.77 in 3,000 at Kentucky Invitational. In Cross Country: One of team's most dependable runners, finishing among top four in every competition... Closed season with 19th overall place at NCAA Regionals, running 6K in 21:35.33... Effort was second best on team... Was third best at SEC Championships, running 30th overall with 6K effort of 21:21.66... Also ran third among Commodores at Pre-Nationals (22:00 6K) and Notre Dame Invitational (17:50 5K)... Finished third overall at Commodore Classic, running 5K distance in 18:31.26, helping Vanderbilt to team win... Opened season with 11th overall finish at Belmont Invitational (14:43 4K).

    2005 Cross Country: Closed outdoor season running 5,000-meter PR of 17:26.92 at SEC Championships... Effort resulted in 15th place overall finish... PR at 3,000 meters (10:02.35) came at Butler Invitational... Finished fourth overall in 3,000 meters (10:07) at Vanderbilt Invitational... Indoor 5,000 best of 17:56.14 came at Illinois... Opened indoor campaign with solid 10:16.39 3,000-meter effort at Kentucky. In Cross Country: One of team's top runners by end of season, finishing second among Commodores at SEC and NCAA Regional meets... Finished 32nd overall at SEC with 6K effort of 22.18; then ran solid 22:27 at NCAA.... Breakthrough was second place effort for team at Pre-NCAAs... Among top five VU finishers in five of seven competitions... Opened collegiate career with 16th place finish at Belmont Invitational... Ran 8th overall at Commodore Classic in 19:25.5.

    In High School: Four-year letterwinner, senior captain... Area Runner of the Year, four-time track MVP, four-time All-conference selection... Holds several school distance records.. Student body treasurer as junior... National Honor Society Member... Wendy's Heisman state finalist.
