NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team takes a short journey southeast to Murfreesboro, Tenn. for its next tournament, the Ohio Valley Regional.
Hosted by Middle Tennessee Oct. 12 – 16, the Commodores ended the 2017 season as the top-ranked team in the regional field as fellow SEC squads, Kentucky and Tennessee, finishing second and third, respectively. Other schools in the regional final ranking include Ball State, Cincinnati, East Tennessee, Indiana, Louisville, Memphis and Western Kentucky.
Last year the Dores made appearances in both the singles and doubles finals. Regional singles and doubles champions advance to the third ITA national championship of the season, the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
