Mira and Wu sweep Saturday's play

Lauren Mira and Jackie Wu traveled to the ITA/Riviera Women's All-American Championships in Los Angeles this weekend to face off against a deep field of over 200 talented college tennis players. In doubles play on Saturday, Mira and Wu paired up to defeat Maryland's Anna Betzunce and Welma Luus in a close match, 9-8(4). In singles, Mira and Wu both swept their matches on Saturday, with Mira defeating Sacramento State's Rebecca Delgado and Duke's Ester Goldfeld, and Wu dispatching UC Irvine's Courtney Byron and Tulane's Emma Levy. Wu and Mira were both named in the ITA pre-season singles rankings as numbers 100 and 110, respectively. They joined fellow Commodores Alex Leatu (No. 50) and Chelsea Preeg (No. 66) on the list.
