No. 17 Vanderbilt (5-4) came up just short in its quest of sweeping two road matches in the Lone Star State over the weekend. One day (Saturday) after topping No. 18 Baylor, 5-2, Vanderbilt ended its two-match Texas road trip with a 4-3 loss at No. 34 TCU on Sunday. At Baylor, Vanderbilt won the doubles point and then Ashleigh Antal's win in No. 6 singles helped set the tone en route to a 5-2 win over the Bears. After losing the doubles point at TCU, the Commodores stormed back to win three-straight singles matches to take a 3-1 lead. However, the Horned Frogs would win matches at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 to win the match, 4-3.
The Belmont Bruins make the short trip across town with a 3-2 record on the season. Belmont's wins have come against Cumberland (Tenn.), Western Kentucky and Georgetown (Ky.), while falling to Kentucky and Chattanooga.
