WTEN continues road swing at No.16 Northwestern, Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 15 Vanderbilt women's tennis team will continue its nine-match road swing this weekend, with a trip to Evanston, Ill., for a matchup with No. 16 Northwestern. The match is set for 11 a.m., at the Combe Tennis Center.

The Commodores (2-0) are coming off a weekend in which they knocked off two top-20 opponents, and punched their ticket to a second-straight ITA National Team Indoor Championships.

The Wildcats (2-0) picked up two shutout wins last weekend, also en route to the ITA Indoor Championships.

Vanderbilt heads north featuring four ranked singles players and two ranked doubles teams. Sophomore Georgina Sellyn, leads VU, ranked 48th in the country. Freshman Sydney Campbell, Vandy's No. 1 singles player, goes into the match ranked 78th nationally.

Campbell and Ashleigh Antal are VU's highest ranked doubles team, at No. 28.

Northwestern has only one ranked singles player, but boasts three ranked doubles teams.

Following its match with the Wildcats, Vanderbilt will then travel to Charlottesville, Va., for the National Indoor Championships.
