Dores ready for Illinois Sunday

NASHVILLE – No. 25 Vanderbilt will face No. 24 Illinois Sunday at 9 a.m. CT in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend at the Gillom Sports Center in Oxford, Miss. The Commodores will be the No. 3 seed in the Oxford Regional, while Illinois is the No. 2 seed.
No. 19 Ole Miss (No. 1 seed) will play No. 28 Yale (No. 4 seed) in the second match of the day at 2 p.m. Vanderbilt will either play Ole Miss or Yale on Monday in the final match of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.

The other 14 regional sites are UCLA, Duke, Southern California, Georgia, Cal, North Carolina, Miami (FL), Texas, Alabama, Northwestern, Baylor, Michigan, Nebraska and Texas A&M.
Last Time Out
Vanderbilt finished second at the Miami Invitational, which featured three of the top 15 teams in the country (No. 9 Miami, No. 11 Texas and No. 14 Texas A&M). Over the three-day tournament, No. 91 Marie Casares, No. 102 Courtney Colton, Georgina Sellyn and Lauren Mira all won two of their three singles matches. Sellyn recorded a huge win over No. 3 Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar of Texas A&M on the final day of competition.
About Ole Miss (No. 1 Seed)
The 19th-ranked Rebels enter the weekend with a record of 0-1, having dropped their opening dual to William & Mary, 4-3. The Rebels’ Caroline Rohde-Moe is the lone player ranked for Ole Miss, but is the highest ranked player in the regional at No. 30. Rohde-Moe sports an overall record of 15-6 on the season.
About Illinois (No. 2 seed)
The Illini have already completed four dual matches and sport a 2-2 record. Illinois fell to nationally-ranked Miami and Notre Dame, while picking up wins versus Illinois State and Western Illinois. Illinois' Allison Falkin (t-No. 59) and Melissa Kopinski (No. 106) appear in the most recent ITA Women's Singles Rankings, as the Illini look to build off of their top 25 finish last season. Kopinski is also ranked 11th in the nation with doubles partner Rachael White.
About Yale (No. 4 seed)
Yale is represented in the singles rankings with three nationally-ranked players in No. 31 Blair Seideman, No. 42 Elizabeth Epstein and No. 90 Madeleine Hamilton. In the doubles rankings, Annie Sullivan and Sarah Guzick rank 49th, while Amber Li and Hanna Yu are No. 53. The Bulldogs are 1-0 on the year after sweeping Delaware State, 7-0.
