2016 First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll

2016-17 (Sophomore):
Made dual match debut in doubles, defeating SIUE 6-1 on court three with Christina Rosca... Went 3-2 throughout the fall in doubles, defeating teams from Middle Tennessee and Kentucky… Went 1-2 at the June Stewart Invitational… Defeated Ole Miss’ Brooke Stevens in three sets.

2015-16 (Freshman):
 Named to the 2016 First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll… Went 8-6 in singles over the fall… Defeated three SEC opponents in singles during the individual season, two in straight sets… Went 6-3 in doubles during the fall tournament season… Defeated two SEC team in the fall with Ellie Yates... Duo won flight of Furman Fall Classic and began the season going undefeated at the Miami Fall Invite.

HIGH SCHOOL: Signed with Vanderbilt as the No. 7 player in the state of California and No. 42 in the country... Was selected by her peers as the team MVP for her excellence on and off the tennis court... Dvorak helped lead her team to an Orange Coast League championships, the California Interscholastic Federation’s (CIF) Southern Section, Division II semifinals, and the state of California’s southern region quarter- finals... In her senior season with the Breakers, Summer complied a perfect 20-0 mark.

Personal: Summer comes from a highly athletic background, as her father, Dusty Dvorak, represented team USA in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, garnering a gold medal... In 1998 Dusty Dvorak was inducted in the Volleyball Hall of Fame... Older sister Stormy plays tennis for Dixie State College in Utah.
