NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vanderbilt women's soccer forward Cheyna Williams was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by league officials today. The sophomore was a huge part of the Commodore offense this weekend, scoring five goals, including the game-winner over No. 23 Wisconsin.

The SEC leader in goals per game helped Vanderbilt knock-off its first ranked opponent in two seasons. Williams tallied two goals, including the decisive game-winner in the 67th minute, in the `Dores' 4-3 over 23rd-ranked Wisconsin.

The 5-7 forward continued her outstanding performance with her first-career hat trick in Sunday's double-overtime draw with Milwaukee.

On the season, Williams now has six goals, matching her season total from last year. She sits at first in the SEC in shots per game, points per game, goals and goals per game.

The Commodores will be back in action on Friday at 7 pm from Homewood, Ala., when they take on Samford. Then it is back to the VU Soccer Complex for a Sunday matinee with Georgia State.
