Vanderbilt soccer will be televised at least twice this year, the Southeastern Conference announced in unveiling its 2012 women's soccer television schedule Wednesday afternoon. Both games also will be made available on ESPN3.com

"We are excited to again have these opportunities to showcase our program nationally," VU Head Coach Derek Greene said. "Gaining this sort of exposure is just one of the many great perks of competing in the nation's greatest athletic conference."

The SEC is entering the fourth year of its historic television agreements, which give league soccer teams some of the most extensive television exposure nationally.

CSS will broadcast Vanderbilt's Sept. 30 home game against SEC Eastern Division rival South Carolina. The Sunday contest is still slated to begin at 1 p.m. CT. The following weekend, SportSouth will carry the Commodores' road contest at LSU, which also starts at 1 p.m. CT.

The SEC Women's Soccer Tournament will begin on Oct. 29 in Orange Beach, Ala., and the championship will be televised live on ESPNU Nov. 4, which is available in more than 73 million households. ESPNU also will carry four SEC games during the regular season.

The announcement of the SEC's TV schedule comes just as the Commodores are preparing to begin preseason training this week. The squad will have its first team meeting of the fall on Thursday before taking the field on Friday.
