2016 First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll
2017: Made two appearances in goal for the Commodores as a sophomore and finished the season with a record of 1-0... Allowed one goal in 91 minutes and 55 seconds of action, posting a 0.98 goals against average and an .800 save percentage, making four saves on five shots on goal... Played the second half and overtime of Vanderbilt's 1-0 win over Tennessee Tech in the season opener, making three saves in 46 minutes and 55 seconds and earning the win... Played the second half of VU's 3-0 loss at St. Louis on August 20, allowing one goal and making one save.
2016: Started five games in goal for the Commodores, while competing in six games for a total of 491 minutes… Made 18 saves… Allowed nine goals on 18 shots… Started in goal against Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi State… Earned win over Mississippi State, allowing one goal on 10 shots… Went 1-3-1 in debut season... Named to the 2016-17 First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Personal: Began playing soccer at the age of four… played club for Caleb Fortune at Ambassadors FC… chose Vanderbilt because, “The academic challenges combines with the opportunity to play soccer for a growing program was impossible to pass up. Vanderbilt provides me a chance to play in the SEC under a great coaching staff, with a drive to succeed.”… Older brothers, Matt and Jeff, played college soccer… chose Vanderbilt over Georgetown and the University of Pennsylvania.
Coach Ambrose on Lauren: “I have known Lauren for some time and think she has potential to become a great GK in our program. She is athletic and has a commanding presence in the 18 yard box.”
