NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Vanderbilt lacrosse team will hit the road for their final road trip of the season this weekend. Their 10th and final trip of the season will have the Dores travel four hours north to take on Cincinnati this Saturday at 5 pm CT.
The Commodores are in the midst of a three-game losing streak against three of the four teams that will represent the BIG EAST in the conference tournament May 4-6. The Dores are coming off a tough last minute lost to Temple this past Saturday.
The Dores used a 6-0 first half run to take an 8-6 lead into halftime. Then in the second half, neither team could score for the first 15 minutes of the half. Temple finally broke through to make it a one-goal game but the Commodores would answer less than a minute later. Kayla Peterson scored her first goal of the game at the 13:27 mark to give the Dores a two-goal lead again.
The Owls would respond with a goal of their own from Carly Demato at the 12:19 mark but the Dores would not stay quiet long. Julie Blaze stepped up again and scored her second of the afternoon at the 11:32 mark and the Dores led 10-8.
That would be the final goal of the afternoon for the Dores as they were shutout the final 11 minutes of the game. Temple would score two straight goals to tie the game at 10 with 5:32 remaining. Then the Owls would score the game-winning goal with 1:04 left to seal the 11-10 win.

Doherty leads the team in draw controls (65), points (48), ground balls (24), assists (22) and tied for the team lead in caused turnovers (16).
