NASHVILLE - The Vanderbilt lacrosse team returns home after two games in Pennsylvania to play host to Stanford on Tuesday, March 26, at the VU Lacrosse Complex.
The game's opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT. Admission to the game is free.
Vanderbilt dropped a pair of road matches at Penn State and Penn last week, taking the Quakers to overtime before dropping a one-goal decision on Thursday.
Stanford has not played since March 10 and is making just its second trip away from Palo Alto this season. The Cardinal won at Ohio State on March 2 and have scored victories over USC and Temple in their two most recent matches.
Last season at Stanford, the Commodores earned a convincing 15-9 victory over the Cardinal. Senior Carly Linthicum and sophomore Meggie Ramzy each scored twice for VU in that game. This season, Linthicum leads the Commodores in scoring and ranks fifth in the nation with an average of 3.6 goals per game.
Following Wednesday's game, the Commodores return to American Lacrosse Conference action by traveling to Johns Hopkins to face the Bluejays at Homewood Field on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m. ET. Vanderbilt will then return home to play host to Harvard on Monday, April 1, at 2 p.m. CT, for the Commodores final weekday contest of 2013.
