Lacrosse travels to Canisius Sunday

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The No. 7/6 Vanderbilt women's lacrosse team will close out its spring break with a trip to face Canisius on Sunday, March 11. LIVE STATS

The Commodores (3-1) and Golden Griffins met for the first time last season in Nashville, with Vanderbilt capturing a 16-5 victory. Canisius is 2-1 on the young season and will play host to Binghamton on Friday afternoon before VU visits on Sunday.

While Vanderbilt will be the first ranked team on the Griffs' schedule, Canisius represents the first unranked team that the Commodores will face. Vanderbilt is coming off a mid-week victory over No. 18 Boston College.

The Commodores have been off school this week for spring break and will return to classes on Monday. Vanderbilt also returns home to the VU Lacrosse Complex next week, playing host to Louisville on Wednesday, March 14, before welcoming No. 12/14 Penn State for both squads' first American Lacrosse Conference match.
