NEWTON, Mass. - The Vanderbilt lacrosse team travels to face its first ranked opponent of the 2013 season on Wednesday, Feb. 20, taking on 20th-ranked Boston College at 1 p.m. CT.
Wednesday's game marks the home opener for the Eagles, whose season started Saturday at Holy Cross with a 17-8 victory. The Commodores are looking to bounce back from a 10-9 setback at the hands of Denver.

Nine different Commodores scored goals that day. Defensively, the 'Dores were led by five ground balls from Alyssa Dunlap and four ground balls from Paige Cahill.
This year's Vanderbilt squad is led offensively by senior Carly Linthicum, who has scored five goals apiece in each of VU's first three games. Behind Linthicum, four Commodores have tossed in five goals each.
Following Wednesday's game, the Commodores open American Lacrosse Conference action on Sunday, Feb. 24, when Northwestern visits the VU Lacrosse Complex for a 1 p.m. CT matchup.
