The Vanderbilt women's golf team will participate in the Bryan National Collegiate this weekend in Greensboro, N.C., at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. The Commodores, who have not played in the tournament since the 2005 spring season, will take the course with 17 other teams, 14 of which are ranked in the top 40 nationally.
Vanderbilt, who enters the tournament ranked 22nd in the latest Golfweek rankings, will play in their last regular season tournament before the SEC Championships, which take place in Tuscaloosa, Ala., April 16-18. The Commodores will send Marina Alex, ranked fourth in the latest individual rankings by Golfweek, Lauren Stratton, Andrea Messer, Megan Grehan, and Anna Leigh Keith to compete in the tournament.
Other teams competing with Vanderbilt this weekend are Arkansas, Auburn, Charleston, Duke, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Northwestern, North Carolina, N.C. State, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wake Forest. UNC Greensboro and Wake Forest are co-hosts of the tournament.
This weekend's competition will take place on the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center, which will be set up as a par 72, 6,323-yard layout. Fixed tee times begin on the number one and 10 holes at 8:20 a.m. EST on Friday and Saturday, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start concluding play on Sunday.
