The #14-ranked Commodore women's golf team travels to Augusta, Ga., to take part in the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate this weekend at the Forest Hills Golf Club with 13 other teams. Play begins on Friday morning.
Vanderbilt, ranked number 14 in the country and coming off a win at the Central District Invitational and a second-place finish at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, will compete with host GRU Augusta, Boston College, Campbell, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Illinois, Kansas, Lamar, Mercer, Purdue, Southern Miss, and Troy. There are five ranked teams in the top 50 in the latest Golfweek rankings in the Jaguar field.
The Commodores will send juniors Kendall Martindale and Irina Gabasa, sophomore Jennifer Hahn and freshmen Simin Feng and Antonia Scherer to compete this weekend. Senior Rene Sobolewski will also be on the trip and participate as an individual.
The tournament will be played at the par 72, 6,214-yard Forest Hills Golf Club.
Live scoring will be available on Golfstat throughout the weekend, with 18 holes being played Friday through Sunday.
