Carlson finished T-63rd at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional... She posted rounds of 73, 75 and 78 for a 54-hole total of 226... She helped Vanderbilt to seventh-place team finish at SEC Championship by shooting 54-hole total of nine-over 225... Finished T-24th in SEC stroke play competition and posted her low round of even-par 72 in the third and final round... During SEC quarterfinal action, Carlson lost to Alabama’s Angelica Moresco... She put together her best tournament since the Mason Rudolph in September at the Clemson Invitational... She finished as the low Commodore, earning a 18th-place individual finish of two-under 214, helping the squad to a fourth-place team result at Clemson... In her last competition before the SEC Championship, Carlson earned a tie for fourth place individually at the Brickyard Collegiate with a 54-hole total of three-over par 219... Carlson’s performance at the Brickyard was instrumental in Vanderbilt’s first team title in nearly three years... She put together her best tournament since the Mason Rudolph in September at the Clemson Invitational... She finished as the low Commodore, earning a 18th-place individual finish of two-under 214, helping the squad to a fourth-place team result at Clemson... Carlson fired a four-under 68 in the final round at Clemson, matching her second lowest round of the season... She was the team's third low scorer at the difficult Darius Rucker Intercollegiate played in Hilton Head's Long Cove Club... With rounds of 76-75-77, she finished T-51 at the Pete Dye Course layout, helping Commodores to 11th place team finish in the Rucker... Carlson played well in her first outing of the spring campaign, finishing T-12 at the UCF Challenge with a 54-hole total of 219 (75-71-73)... She was the Commodores' second best individual in a fourth-place team finish in Orlando... Carlson ranked as the Commodores' top individual golfer in a solid fall campaign, ending the four-tournament stretch with a 72.75 stroke average... Carlson's breakout performance in the Vanderbilt-hosted Mason Rudolph Championships where she posted a 10-under total of 206 with rounds of 66, 69 and 71. Carlson's 66 in the Rudolph marked the low round of her collegiate career... She also earned a fourth-place finish at the Mason Rudolph... Carlson opened the fall with a 228 total at Kiawah's Ocean Course Invitational, and followed the Mason Rudolph performance with a four-over total of 220 at Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational... She concluded the fall by sharing team medalist honors in the Battle at the Beach Invitational with a 54-hole total of 219.
As a freshman (2016-17)
Played in all 28 rounds and averaged 74.46 strokes per round... Carded best finish of the season with a seventh-place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship... Also finished in a tie for 12th at the Cardinall Fall Kickoff... Low round of the year came in second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, when she fired a 68.
Carlson is from Lake Mary, Fla., attended Circle Christian High School, where she was a two-time AJGA Rolex All-American and a first team member in 2013... She was the 22nd-ranked player in the class of 2016, according to the Junior Golf Scoreboard... She had two AJGA wins and was runner up at the Rolex Girls and PGA Junior and led her high school team to a state title as a sophomore and runner-up finishes the last two years.
