Vanderbilt's bowling schedule will include a mixture of traditional tournament appearances along with a return to some familiar events after brief absences.
"Our objective in planning a schedule is to allow our student-athletes to compete against the best teams in the country," says Coach John Williamson. "We want to travel to a variety of places and challenge ourselves in different situations. This year our schedule reflects the best mix we could assemble of top competition across the NCAA landscape."
The Commodores open the year October 20 with Alabama A&M's quadrangular event, then go to the northeast for Fairleigh Dickinson's New Jersey Jamboree. From there the fall season continues at the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawk Classic and concludes with Sam Houston State's tournament in early December.
The schedule resumes in mid-January at Arkansas State and proceeds to Pennsylvania for the Kutztown Invitational, Texas for Prairie View's tournament held in the USBC's International Training and Research Center, back to the Birmingham, Ala., suburbs for the Holiday Classic and over to Central Missouri's Greater Ozark Invitational.
The regular season concludes March 15-17 with the home Columbia 300 Music City Classic. This year's NCAA Championships are April 11-13 in Detroit.
