Heading North: Vanderbilt heads to Reading, Pa., for the Kutztown Invitational Friday-Sunday at the city's Heister Lanes.

The Field: Adelphi, Bethune-Cookman, Cheyney, Coppin State, Delaware State, Fairleigh Dickinson, Florida A&M, Hampton, Howard, Kutztown, Long Island, Medialle, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Monmouth, Morgan State, New Jersey City, Penn State-Altoona, North Carolina Central, Norfolk State, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis (NY), Saint Francis (Pa) Saint Peter's, Stephen F. Austin, Southern Valparaiso, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Tourney Format: Kutztown's event follows the Friday 4-game Baker, Saturday traditional games and Sunday championship bracket.

Uneven History: Vanderbilt has been like the stock market at this event. Three years ago the Commodores were out of sorts and placed a dismal ninth. Two years ago VU led the pin count for two days before stumbling to a third place finish. Last year Vandy started slower than a Buick parked outside on a sub-zero day before rallying to finish fourth.

Top 10 Talent: Six members of the latest Top 10 poll are here: UMES (2), Vanderbilt (3), FDU (5), Adelphi (8), Whitewater (9), Kutztown (10).

Travel Party: Vanderbilt departs Thursday to Baltimore's airport with seniors Jessica Earnest and Kim Carper, junior Lauren Rhein, sophomores Natalie Goodman and Nicole Mosesso and freshmen Robyn Renslow, Amanda Fry and Tori Ferris. It is approximately a two-hour drive from Baltimore to Reading.

Coach John Williamson Says: "We are going to go as we always go, with a mindset to win. The past two weeks we have focused on having consistent effort and competing. We'll be looking for consistency."

Carper's Video Blog: Vanderbilt fans should be certain to watch the excellent video reports that senior Kim Carper is contributing a couple of days after returning home. Kim spent last summer interning with the athletic communications office. WATCH

Webcast: The Kutztown Invitation will be webcast on When the Commodores are not among the featured bowlers on the webcast, Vanderbilt will stream action on its USTREAM channel.
