LAS VEGAS---Three Vanderbilt-related bowlers had strong days Tuesday and as a result remain in the hunt to earn national team berths at the Team USA Trials.

Former All-American Brittni Hamilton was third in today's round and stands third overall among the 105 women battling for honors. She has 50 accumulated points, the combined total of her individual day placements. Dayton's Shannon Pluhowsky leads the women's division with 29 points.

Sophomore Amanda Fry has had back-to-back strong performances. Today the Californian was seventh, pushing her into fifth place overall with 77 points.

Former NCAA Player of the Year Josie Earnest bounced back to place eighth today and has her work cut out to reach the top three after tomorrow's fifth and final session. She is 17th heading into the final round.

The top three men and women are automatically on Team USA and each team will add two at-large picks. Fry could also gain a Junior Team USA spot with another good day Wednesday.

Other Vanderbilt bowlers are Natalie Goodman (42), Robyn Renslow (52), Tori Ferris (57), Giselle Poss (69) and Kendall Dellinger (101).
