Teddy Bear Toss on Thursday

Vanderbilt women's basketball hosts its annual Teddy Bear Toss to benefit Toys for Tots on Thursday versus Florida State.

The No. 25/23 Vanderbilt women's basketball team (10-1) is encouraging fans to bring a new teddy bear to donate to Toys for Tots on Thursday, December 22, when the Commodores face Florida State. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Gym.

To get fans in the giving spirit, we asked some of the women's basketball student-athletes to share their fondest memories of teddy bears or stuffed animals they had growing up.

The toss will occur during halftime of the game against the Seminoles. If a fan is able to hit the mark on the floor with their toss, they'll win a Vandy prize pack.

Remember, for the U.S. Marine Corps to accept the toy through its Toys for Tots program, it MUST be new.
