Thanksgiving Tourney is back

Vanderbilt to host annual event featuring No. 13/14 Oklahoma, Liberty and Lipscomb.

The Vanderbilt women's basketball team will host its annual Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26, at Memorial Gym. The tournament opens on Friday with the Commodores facing Lipscomb at 2:00 p.m., followed by Liberty versus No. 13/14 Oklahoma at 4:00 p.m. All four teams return on Saturday with the consolation game set for 2:00 p.m., followed by the championship at 4:00 p.m.

Admission for the entire tournament is free of charge.

Prizes will be given out at each media timeout of the games featuring Vanderbilt. The giveaways will include gift cards to several area restaurants, Vanderbilt gear and tickets to future games, including the Kentucky and Tennessee contests.

Day two of the event will feature the dunk team from the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies performing at halftime of each game.

On Wednesday, the women's basketball team visited The Mall at Green Hills to help promote the event. Check out some of the highlights of the afternoon below.
