It was a very exciting week. The Harry Potter movie came out, AND, we took our first road trip of the season. A few of us went to see Harry Potter on Friday night. I remember reading my first Harry Potter book when I was in fourth grade. It has been such a huge part of my generation's childhood that with the ending of the movies, it truly is the end of an era. I have really enjoyed enriching my imagination through the world of Harry Potter (I know Jence feels the same way about this one). Needless to say I was extremely excited to go and see it on Friday night. I am hoping that J.K. Rowling will reconsider and continue the series.
We left for Florida on Saturday after practice. Luckily the flight was short and mostly bump free. I tend to get a little nervous when it comes to flying, especially on small planes. The weather has been so crazy this winter that the Florida weather was not really any different from Nashville...but I must say the sight of palm trees made me feel like I was on a mini-vacation. However, that was short lived because when traveling during the season, it is strictly business. Although the outcome was not what we would have hoped, I feel we can learn valuable lessons from the game and use those lessons to just make us better.
With Thanksgiving coming up it is time for our annual Thanksgiving Tournament. I am so excited because my family will all be coming to Nashville along with many of my teammates' families. Not only will we be playing the game we love but we will also be able to share it with the people we are most thankful for. I am truly blessed to have my Patton/ Puleo family and my Commodore family, too.
