Blessing Ejiofor comes to Nashville from Ebonyi, Nigeria and will be a freshman on the women’s basketball team this season. Ejiofor and the rest of her Commodore teammates have officially opened the 2017-18 slate and as practices got underway Ejiofor caught up with vucommodores.com to talk about some of her favorite things.

The thing that impresses me most about Coach White: She’s very eloquent. She explains what she wants the team to execute explicitly. She’s also disciplined and passionate.
Favorite part about playing at Memorial Gym: I love everything about Memorial Gym.

Three things on my bucket list are: Create a source of passive income, develop a general knowledge of important topics, get a PhD and Build a Habitat for Humanity home.

The best advice I’ve received: If you put God first you will never be last.
Biggest influence in my life: My mom and my little sister Deborah.
My advice to young people is: I’ve learned not to take anything for granted and also the significance of being organized and disciplined. My advice to young people is don’t ever try to please anyone and trust none.
