BIRMINGHAM-- The Southeastern Conference has released the 2018 women's basketball television schedule and Vanderbilt will make eight national television appearances in conference play. Additionally, the Commodores have released game times for both conference and non-conference games
With the release of the television schedule the Commodores have had two game dates change. Vanderbilt's originally scheduled game at LSU on Jan. 1 has been moved to New Year's Eve and will air on SEC Network at 3 PM CT and the Kentucky game, originally scheduled for January 14 at Memorial Gym has been moved to Monday Jan. 15 and a primetime spot at 6 PM CT on SEC Network.
After the SEC opener in Baton Rouge, Vanderbilt will travel to in-state rival Tennessee for an 11 AM CT game on SEC Network on January 7. The game against the Wildcats on January 15 will be the Commodores first televised home game and will air on the SEC Network. Vanderbilt closes the month with a Sunday afternoon showdown with the Aggies from Texas A&M on Jan. 28 at 2 PM CT on the SEC Network.
The month of February will see the Commodores on television four times including three consecutive games near the end of the month. The Commodores and Lady Vols will tip off on ESPNU on Feb. 4 at 1 PM CT from Memorial Gym to open the February home schedule. Vanderbilt will make its second SEC Network Monday Night appearance on Feb. 12 at Auburn at 6 PM CT before hosting 2017 NCAA Final Four participant, Mississippi State, on Feb. 15 at 7:30 PM on SEC Network. The Commodores will also face the Florida Gators in Gainesville on the SEC Network at 12 pm CT on Feb. 18.
The Commodores will also face non-conference opponents Iowa State and NC State on the SEC Network. The Iowa State game will tip at 3 PM CT on Dec. 2 and the NC State game will tipoff at 6 PM CT from Memorial Gym.
Vanderbilt's SEC Network+ games will be added at a later date.
All games included in the ESPN Package (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network) will also be available through the ESPN app, which is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
Individual institutions will also have the ability to produce for the SEC Network+ any conference or non-conference games that are not otherwise televised, which will be available on the ESPN app and SECSports.com and we will announce those games at a later date.
