Golden summer for three Vanderbilt freshmen

Aug. 28, 2014

It's been a summer of gold for multiple members of the Vanderbilt women's basketball program.

A trio of Vanderbilt freshmen -- Audrey-Ann Caron-Goudreau, Khaléann Caron-Goudreau and Paris Kea -- created life-long memories by collecting gold medals with their respective national teams this summer.

The Caron-Goudreau twins were members of the Canadian Senior B national team that captured the championship of the William Jones Cup International Tournament in Taiwan, and Kea played for the USA U18 squad that stormed through the FIBA Champions tournament in Colorado.

The USA U18 squad and the Canadian Senior B team both went undefeated at their respective tournaments.

Kea is a star from Page High in Greensboro, N.C., and the Caron-Goudreau sisters are former standouts at IMG Academy.

The Caron-Goudreau twins and Kea -- along with Rachel Bell and Christa Reed -- are part of Vanderbilt's dynamic freshmen class that was ranked No. 9 in the nation by both Blue Star Report and Prospects Nation.
