2017 WBB SCHEDULE l PRINTABLE SCHEDULE

The Vanderbilt women's basketball team will face 20 teams during the 2017-18 season that made postseason appearances a year ago.

The Commodores will open the regular season by hosting Middle Tennessee in Memorial Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 10. The Blue Raiders will be the first of 13 challenging non-conference opponents before Vanderbilt opens Southeastern Conference play at LSU on Jan. 1.

Stephanie White's second Vanderbilt squad will play one of the nation's toughest schedules. The Commodores face 12 teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year, including national champion South Carolina and national runner-up Mississippi State. Other 2017 NCAA participants on the schedule are Syracuse, Iowa State, Louisville, NC State, LSU, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Texas A&M and Auburn.

"We are very excited about our non-conference schedule. Our expectation every year is to play one of the most challenging schedules in the nation, and to bring high quality opponents to Memorial Gym." White said. "This schedule meets all of those goals. Our players and fans should be excited about the upcoming year, from the opening game through the entire season."

Vanderbilt's home opener in SEC play will come Jan. 4 against the Georgia Bulldogs. After traveling to Knoxville on Jan. 7 to face Tennessee, the team returns to Memorial Gym for three consecutive SEC games: Missouri on Jan. 11, Kentucky on Jan. 14 and South Carolina on Jan. 18.

The Commodores will enjoy just three home games during a nine-game conference stretch from Jan. 21 to Feb. 22: Texas A&M on Jan 28, Tennessee on Feb. 4 and Mississippi State on Feb. 12. The span includes road encounters against Alabama (Jan. 21), Ole Miss (Feb. 1), Georgia (Feb. 8), Auburn (Feb. 12), Florida (Feb. 18) and Missouri (Feb. 22).

Vanderbilt will close the conference regular season against Arkansas on Feb. 25 in Memorial Gym, then turn its attention to the SEC Tournament at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Feb. 28-March. 4.

The Vanderbilt-MTSU regular-season opener in early November should be a main attraction for women's basketball fans across Middle Tennessee. It marks the first meeting between the schools since the 2012 NCAA Tournament when the Commodores registered a 60-46 first-round victory in Memorial Gym. The last regular season meeting between the Commodores and Blue Raiders came on Feb. 6, 1991, a 79-66 Vanderbilt win in Murfreesboro.

Besides the opener, Vanderbilt's early-season schedule also is highlighted by the team's first appearance at the Paradise Jam in November. The Commodores face George Washington, Syracuse and Wisconsin in the Paradise Jam on Nov. 23-25 in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

The Commodores travel to Central Michigan from the Mid-American Conference (MAC) on Nov. 14 and Tulane from the American Atlantic Conference on Nov. 17 after the opener, then return to Memorial Gym to face another MAC foe in Ball State on Nov. 20.

Vanderbilt faces St. Louis University from the Missouri Valley Conference on the road on Nov. 29 before returning to campus to play Iowa State from the Big 12 Conference on Dec. 2. Five days later, White's squad makes its final road trip before conference play, taking on the Louisville Cardinals on Dec. 7. Both Iowa State and Louisville are coming off NCAA tourney appearances.

Vanderbilt will cap the non-conference slate with four December games in Memorial Gym: Memphis on Dec. 16, NC State on Dec.19, Belmont on Dec. 21 and Lipscomb on Dec. 28.

The NCAA Tournament starts March 16, with the Final Four slated for March 30 and championship game on April 1.

Tip-off and television coverage of the schedule will be announced in the near future.

Season tickets ranging from $58 to $123 per seat (fees included) are available for the upcoming campaign. A Family Plan package for two adult and two youth tickets is available for $212. Season tickets can be purchased by logging on to vucommodores.com, calling 615-322-GOLD, or visiting the McGugin Athletic Center Box Office at 2601 Jess Neely Drive in Nashville.
