Kayla Overbeck and USA Basketball's women's U19 team won the silver medal on Sunday in Udine, Italy in a tough 86-82 loss to Russia at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup.

The two teams battled back-and-forth much of the game with 24 lead changes and neither squad leading by more than eight. Six of those lead changes came in the fourth quarter but it was Russia who took control down the stretch with a 14-7 run to clinch the gold medal. For a full recap, click here.
Overbeck played in all seven games for Team USA in the tournament and is the 10th Commodore to play for the Red, White & Blue. The rising sophomore now returns to the States to join her Vanderbilt teammates as they prepare for the team's international trip to Costa Rica beginning August 12.
