The Vanderbilt WBB program wrapped up its summer camp schedule this week by hosting the Individual Skills Camp. It was the third and final camp hosted by the Commodores this summer.
This week's camp was for players ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade. The camp emphasized individual moves and shooting, as well as lectures, stations and game situations that were designed to improve each player's all-around game.
The current Commodore players and coaching staff, including head coach Melanie Balcomb, along with several Vanderbilt standouts of the past, oversaw the camp.
Last month, Vanderbilt hosted Team Challenge Camp, which wrapped up in early June. It featured instruction from the Vanderbilt coaching staff and players. Many former Vanderbilt stars -- including Merideth Marsh, Jasmine Lister, Tiffany Clarke, Gabby Smith and Elan Brown -- were also involved with the camp in various capacities.
From June 14-15, the Vanderbilt WBB program hosted Elite Camp for grades 9-12, and many of the top high school players in the nation were on the Vanderbilt campus for the two-day event.
