Vanderbilt head coach Stephanie White will be available for autographs and pictures on Friday when Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee hosts its second annual City Auto Over The Edge Nashville event at the Omni Nashville Hotel.
The event allows supporters, known as Edgers, to have the chance to rappel the 23-story, 269-foot tall Omni Nashville Hotel after having raised $1,000 in donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
White will be joined at the event by several recognizable figures — including Vanderbilt’s Mr. C and the Nashville Sounds’ mascot, Booster. White will be available for autographs and photos from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
This year’s event will also feature a lively street party while the Edgers rappel, for those wanting to support from the ground. The event includes a rock-climbing wall, DJ, cornhole, photo booth sponsored by Delta Dental, and City Auto cars, as well as food and drinks available for purchase.
“The street party will welcome those who have supported the Edgers and who want to support Big Brothers Big Sisters, but might not be comfortable with the rappelling aspect themselves,” said Carlyle Carroll, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. “Rappelling off a skyscraper can be nerve-wracking. We’re glad Coach White and Mr. C will be there to help cheer on all the Edgers.”
The event will also be live streamed on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Facebook page: HERE.
Big Brothers Big Sisters partners with title sponsor City Auto and with Over The Edge, an international company with 15 years’ experience in signature rappelling events, to run the event. The company focuses on safety and Edger experience to provide a fun, secure and thrilling memory for supporters.
