NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vanderbilt junior guard Angela Puleo has opted not to return for her fifth year of eligibility, marking the end of her college basketball career.
"I have decided to forego my final year of eligibility in basketball," Puleo said. "Following my graduation from Vanderbilt in December, I have decided to pursue a graduate degree. I wish the Vanderbilt team success in the future."
A 5-foot-9 guard from Maryville, Tenn., Puleo averaged 5.0 points in 31 games for the Commodores in 2011. Puleo spent the first two years of her college career at Georgia before transferring prior to the 2009-10 season.
Puleo's best game as a Commodore came on Jan. 30 against Ole Miss when she poured in 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. Puleo made 12 starts for Vanderbilt this season.
