NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The 15th-ranked Vanderbilt women's basketball team plays host to Southeastern Conference rival Alabama on Sunday, Feb. 4, at Memorial Gymnasium. The game will tip-off at 2 p.m. CT.

Six of Vanderbilt's last eight games have been played on the road, allowing the Commodores (19-4, 5-3 SEC) to stay home for four of their final six regular season contests. On Thursday at Kentucky, senior point guard Dee Davis made a game-winning layup with 1.6 seconds remaining to sink the Lady Cats.

Davis' eight points against Kentucky left her only four points away from 1,000 for her Commodore career. She also recently became Vanderbilt's all-time leader in assists, passing former VU great and current Alabama Director of Basketball Operations Ashley McElhiney.

McElhiney is not the only former Commodore on the Crimson Tide's staff, as 2005 VU graduate Ashley Earley is Alabama's graduate assistant coach.

Alabama (10-13, 0-8) travels to Nashville as one of two teams in the SEC -- joining Florida -- still looking for its first conference victory. The Commodores are the third ranked team that Alabama has faced in its last four games.

Vanderbilt holds a 20-11 edge in the all-time series, including seven wins in the last eight meetings. The Crimson Tide are winless in 12 previous trips to Nashville.
