Scouting The Commodores
The Vanderbilt women's basketball team (11-3, 1-0 SEC) takes an eight-game winning streak on the road to Ole Miss. The Commodores are led by first team All-SEC selection Christina Foggie, who is averaging 15.8 points per game. Foggie is one of the top three-point threats in the conference, shooting 37.3% from beyond the arc. Senior forward Tiffany Clarke is right behind her, posting 15.7 points per game while adding a team-best 7.9 rebounds per outing. Clarke is second in the conference in field goal percentage at 58.6%. Junior guard Jasmine Lister runs the point. She is averaging 1.7 points and 5.9 assists per game and is coming off her fourth career double-digit assist performance against Mississippi State. Senior Elan Brown and sophomore Kady Schrann will most likely round out the starting five. Brown averages 6.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, as well as a team-best 1.9 steals per game. Schrann averages 7.6 points and 1.7 assists per contest. First off the bench for Melanie Balcomb's squad will be Heather Bowe (5.6 ppg/4.8 rpg), Kendall Shaw (3.3 ppg/2.2 rpg) and Gabby Smith (3.0 ppg/1.7 rpg).
Scouting The Rebels
Ole Miss (7-7, 0-1 SEC) hosts Vanderbilt after dropping its conference opener at LSU, 84-79. The trio of Valencia McFarland, Diara Moore and Tia Faleru leads the Rebels. McFarland posts 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, followed by 11.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per outing from Moore and 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest from Faleru. Kenyota Jenkins is the team's leading rebounder at 5.8 per game. Ole Miss has lost five of six under Acting Head Coach Brett Frank.

Clarke, Dores run away from Rebels
The No. 24/21 Vanderblt women's basketball team secured a 68-52 win over Ole Miss in its SEC home opener, improving to 13-3 on the season, 1-1 in league action. The Rebels fell to 10-6, 0-3 in the conference.
The Series - Vanderbilt vs. Ole Miss
The Rebels and Commodores will be meeting for the 42nd time on Sunday, with Vanderbilt holding a 26-15 edge in the series. The first meeting came in 1977-78, with Ole Miss taking an 85-64 win at Memorial Gym. The teams have met at least once annually since 1983. The Commodores have won 17 of the last 21 in the series, dating back to 1994-95. Vanderbilt won the only meeting between the team's last season, taking a 68-52 win at Memorial behind 19 points and 10 rebounds from Tiffany Clarke.

Vanderbilt plays its second-straight road game on Thursday, January 10, when it travels to South Carolina. Tipoff at the Colonial Life Center in Columbia, S.C., is set for 6:00 p.m. CT.
