Pregame Notes

  • Starters: The Commodores started seniors Christina Foggie and Jasmine Lister, sophomore Heather Bowe, and freshmen Rebekah Dahlman and Marqu'es Webb.

  • This game marked the first ever meeting between Vanderbilt and Appalachian State.

  • Head Coach Melanie Balcomb was honored for becoming the programs all-time winningest coach.

  • Vanderbilt is now 35-2 all-time in home openers, including winning their last 28-straight.

  • The Commodores led at halftime by a score of 51-26.

  • Vanderbilt had five players in double figures for the first time since January 3 of last season against Mississippi State.

  • The Commodores held Appalachian State without a field goal for the final 6:00 of the first half and the first 4:42 of the second half, a span of 10:42, outscoring the Mountaineers 26-6 during that time.

  • The 2013 season-opener marked Lister's 99th career start, Foggie's 63rd, Bowe's 15th, and the first career starts for Dahlman and Webb.

  • Sophomore Jasmine Jenkins set career highs in points (19), assists (6), FG's (5) and FT's (9)

  • With 10 points, Jasmine Lister recorded her 67th career double-figure scoring game.

  • With 10 points, Christina Foggie recorded her 41st career double-figure scoring game.
