    2010 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament
    Game 3 – Thursday, March 4 – 6:30 p.m.
    #12 Arkansas vs. #5 Vanderbilt 

    TOURNAMENT  NOTES


    •    This was the first SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament to go into overtime since the 2004 semifinal between Georgia and Tennessee.

    •    Tonight was just the fifth overtime game in the history of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, and the first to involve either Arkansas or Vanderbilt.

    VANDERBILT NOTES

    •    Vanderbilt is now 21-9 on the season, 41-24 all-time in the SEC Tournament , and will advance to play LSU in Game 7 Friday at 6:30 p.m.

    •    Junior guard Jence Rhoads led the Commodores with 21 points, the 13th time this season she has led the team in scoring and her 23rd game in double-figures.

    •    Senior guard Merideth Marsh scored 19, her 24th double-figure game, and seventh in a row.

    •    Rhoads and Marsh both played all 45 minutes of tonight’s game.

    •    Vandy won the battle of points in the paint 30-22.

    •    The score was tied seven times in tonight’s game, while there were eight lead changes.

    •    Vanderbilt is now 5-0 all-time in games played at the Gwinnett Center Arena.

    ARKANSAS  NOTES

    •    Arkansas is now 12-18 overall, 9-19 all-time in the SEC Tournament

    •    Senior guard Charity Ford broke into the 900-point club tonight by scoring 21 points. She had 896 heading into tonight’s action.

    •    Ford’s 21 points led the Razorbacks, the 12th time this season she has led the way in points scored.

    •    Freshman forward Dominique Robinson joined Ford as the only UA players in double figures. She scored 16 points, one away from her career high of 17.

    •    Tonight marked the third overtime game for the Razorbacks this season. UA lost at Oklahoma 86-87 on Dec. 5, and defeated Alabama, 66-62 in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 24.

    •    Arkansas was able to convert 15 Vandy turnovers into 20 points on the offensive end.

    •    The UA bench outscored its VU counterpart 24-13.

    •    This was the fifth consecutive season that Arkansas has bowed out on the first day of the SEC Tournament.
