Vanderbilt Women's Basketball's Baskets for Benefits
PURPOSE OF BASKETS FOR BENEFITS Vanderbilt athletics is pleased to team up with four charitable donation organizations to present Baskets For Benefits, a program aimed at supporting local chapters of nation-wide charities during the 2007-08 Commodore women's basketball season. 2007-08 PLEDGE GAMES AND CHARITIES HERE'S HOW IT WORKS First, pick the specific game and cause you'd like to particpate in (listed at the top of the page), and click the attached brochure. For each dollar you pledge, we will give you 4 tickets to the game. Once you pledge an amount we will multiply that by the number of successful free throws Vanderbilt converts on game day. For example let's say you pledge $1, you will receive 4 tickets to the specified game. If Vanderbilt makes 14 free throws in that game (this was their average last season) you will owe a $14 donation to be sent in after the game. Here is the best part...Every penny raised will go to that charity! It really is the best of both worlds... Come on out and cheer on one of the best teams in the country and help out some of the best organizations in the country. SO HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? Fill out the brochure for the specific game and cause. Once the form is completed, send it back to the following address: Vanderbilt University Athletics Attn: Baskets for Benefits 2601 Jess Neely Dr. Nashville, Tn, 37212 or fax the form to: 615.343.7064 Once your form is received, you will be contacted regarding your complimentary tickets. When you receive your tickets, you'll be ready to attend the game to see how many free throws the Commodores hit so you can calculate your total donation. A Vanderbilt representative will then contact you to collect your pledge. For more information, contact Jason Silvers at 615.343.0245. Thanks for your support! |
