Men's Tennis set for SEC Fall Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn.. - After days of preparation, the Vanderbilt men's tennis team is set to be the host of the inaugural SEC Fall Classic. The event will take place at the Currey Tennis Center from Thursday, September 19 through Sunday, September 22.
The SEC Fall Classic will replace the SEC Indoors which was played in January every year. The event was last played in 2012.
The Fall Classic consists of one singles, doubles and consolation draw, with a champion being crowned in each on Sunday. The field will showcase 78 singles participants and 38 doubles teams from each of the 13 men's tennis SEC teams. Each draw was picked at random, with the exception of the top-four seeds, which were specifically placed per tournament regulations.
Vanderbilt will enter the event with nine singles players and 10 doubles team. Gonzales Austin is the Commodores' highest ranked singles player, at sixth. Austin and Ryan Lipman are seeded in the fifth through eighth doubles teams. Lipman will not play singles.
Thursday will see a lot of action as the first two rounds for both singles and doubles are scheduled to be played.
