Men's Golf
Snipes named to SEC Community Service team

May 25, 2013

Senior Will Snipes, who graduated with a degree in Medicine, Health & Society in May, was honored by the Southeastern Conference this past year for his work away from the golf course in being named to the SEC Community Service team.

The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.

Snipes was honored for his work with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, where he served as a mentor to a child in the program, visiting the child each week, helping him with homework and being there to support him in his life.  He also spearheaded a fundraiser for the organization by his team with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
