Senior men's golfer Adam Hofmann has officially withdrawn from the NCAA Regional at Bowling Green due to injury.

The tournament, slated to begin Thursday with a 54-hole format, will be held at The Olde Stone Golf Club in Bowling Green.

"Adam is experiencing too much pain to participate, and has decided to withdraw," said Vanderbilt head coach Tom Shaw. "He has an impending surgery scheduled later this month for a hip injury, and does not feel he can play 54 holes this week.  If we would have qualified as a team, he definitely would have played despite the pain."
